Do that all the time. Worst was last night I went around the house grumping because I couldn't find the scissors to open a bag of pasta and WHY doesn't anyone put them back when they''re done with them? Only to find them, cut open the bag then realize that I was holding the bag upside down and the other side had one of those zippers with the easy pull tab. I threw it away before my husband saw it though. LOL

I always do the same way! It is the fault of the package designers, they should have written something on the other side as well. for example: 'open at the other end' or something like that.
