How we put on sunscreen in my house

This post is for Nicole, who said in the comments of yesterday's post "I need your light-hearted, Fuck it sometimes posts with the great stick figures and such to get me through the sometimes crappy job of being a 'autism mommy'." I don't actually know you, Nicole, so I don't know how to find you and tell you to come and see this; hopefully you'll just happen by!

My daughter demands the same thing, and the way she applies her sunscreen, she may as well be dipping her finger into the goop and writing delicately on her skin, "My parents let me go out into the sun like this. Call CPS."

I've seriously considered letting him to out with just the 2 blobs just to see what happens.

I haven't, though.... :(
Ha! That happens here, too...
I make my kids go in the bathroom and apply their sunscreen BEFORE they put on their swimsuits. That way there's no "Sunburn stripe". Then when they come out, I inspect them to see how good a job they did. I'm the sunblock tyrant.

HA! This is hysterical. Thank GOD they came out with the spray sunscreens. I can chase them down and spray them at the same time. Sometimes the kids have funky sunburn stripes on their shoulders. Oh well.
i just get the screaming NO LOTION! NO LOTION! in callCPS decibels. so really, going out in the sun for us is a choice for me--sunburn or hearing loss...

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha........ That is just what I was talking about - perfect! That's how our house used to be until I got smart and started using the ozone-depleating spray ~ the tree-hugging hippies in my town can bite me *Ü* Thanks so much for the post!
Haha, mine wants to do that too. But since we are practically transparent, that doesn't fly.

After reading your post, I'm even more thankful for the spray on type of sunscreen. My only worry is that Jacob will sunscreen his eyeballs.

And that right there is why I'm a big fan of spray sunscreen. She can run and I can STILL get it on her!
Such a great comic, you are a kind of paint artist :) Your baby has creamed the most sensitive parts of his face :)
