Hey, you do what you've got to do to get a hug. If it means I have to dangle a gadget in my fingers as I say, "time for hugs," I think I could live with that.A bribe stops short of a demand, right?

My wife and I have lately been arguing about whether it's okay to demand hugs from our daughter. We wrote about it here:

I don't know what's worse - having to bribe the kid for a hug or when they bribe YOU with them. Also, I do not understand Minecraft one little bit. It looks like you just build stuff to break it? I need this explained to me.

Well, my child has discovered the hundreds of minecraft videos on youtube where someone else builds things and he just watches. That is even worse.... :( He watches them for hours.

Apparently they also make music videos. Regular pop songs with new, Minecraft-related lyrics, such as "Some items that I used to own," with Minecraft dudes dancing in the background. Yeah.

Minecraft is TB's latest obsession. I almost dread the call of "Mom!! Come look what I made!!". I just hug on the kids whenever I think I need to. They can hug me back or not. As long as I can squeeze on them & kiss their heads, I'm happy.
