LMAO. OMG, I am dieing here with laughter. Great post! I totally feel ya on this too! I'm just getting to sleep around 2am because of my work schedule, and when I finally fall asleep?....WORK pops into my brain. *did I do this? did I do that? Why didn't I do that this way?, etc*

Yes, I'm convinced our brains are out to get us, keeping us paranoid, worried, and anxiety ridden.

What you need is more booze. That'll shut that stupid brain right up, and make it too sleepy and slow-witted to annoy you. Do it!! Show that brain who's boss!

First of all - I TOTALLY should get you to do that pic for my story... it involves a bed and a sleeping husband too - WHAT A COINCIDENCE! hahahaha.

I use to think way too much in bed, but my exhaustion has won out these days. Completely.

Get outta my head!!! I do the same fucking thing...and it pisses me off! GEEZ, if I get woken up for any reason that is it, I'm up. Troll brain starts going and doesn't stop. I call it Hamster brain though, the hamster on the little wheel just starts running and doesn't stop....hehe. I even had to get meds from my doc and even then it doesn't work half the time. Problem is I can't do these wonderful crappy drawings you do. Wish I could so I could do them for my blog :( Wish I could, really sucks. I'll figure out how to do it one day!

First of all...oooh la la...that is one romantic bedroom scene you are working there! (phew, I thought it was just ours that was so hot and steamy). Anyways, I hope you also had some random pains that mimicked other symptoms to keep your brain even closer to the edge...that's how I roll in the wee wakeful hours! LOVED THIS POST!!!!!!!!!!! (I guess that should've really come first!)

OMG I am the same way. Except in my case I get song lyrics on a loop in my head. And it's always something random that I don't even listen to but it's the sort of song I just *know* nonetheless because I've heard it at the store a million times or something. And I can never get it to shut up.

Hahaha! I love the drool and the "awesomely drawn blanket." I totally do this, too. Not necessarily about my kids (mainly because I don't have any), but about my job and my boss, who really has no business being in my bed at 2:00 am... :)

My brain does this same thing at 4am. I have to get up at 6am to get the 5th grader ready for school and the 4yo usually wakes up around 5:30 because he decided he can.

I only need 5 hours of sleep because Im part robot and I have anxiety disorder.

I can calculate Mark Sanchez' 2011 quarterback rating for the Jets, do the budget for the family bills, worry if I'm being too hard on the kids, wonder how I can make a trip to the gym that day, and plan every work thing I have.

This used to happen to me all the time. Now I'm so exhausted that the only thing that keeps me up are my kids, who seem to love to make a lot of noise at 2:37 am (or 3:37 or 4:37...).
