Mama takes a staycation

Hubs and both kids have gone to Lake Tahoe for 3 days.

I'm all alone in my house until Friday.

I have a very long list of things that I'd like to get accomplished during this time, like clean out that junk drawer in the kitchen and go through my old clothes and take a bunch to the thrift store.

The first thing I did, of course, was take a 3 hour nap. Then I spent 3 hours making this rage comic. Hopefully you guys will appreciate it, even if you don't read rage comics.

I make no guarantees for my state of mind over the next 3 days, or what kind of crap will end up on this blog of mine.....

Mama Staycation sounds AWESOME. I'm having a similar time, except I'm all hopped up on vicodin and my family is totally in my area. Oh well. At least there's the internet. And tv.

I had a solo staycation once. It gave me more pleasure than any man ever has. This differs considerably from the samecation we took last summer - where we repeated every day for 7 days.

I am so jealous - have NEVER had that amount of time in my house without the kids. I fantisize about what I would do if I had it, being all productive and such, but I think if it were ever to happen (which it won't) I would sit there and hold the remote tightly for hours every day.

I used to have issues about my family leaving me alone in the house...which happens a lot. But then I learned to like it. If I were you, I would spend at least a few hours plotting how you can make this a regular thing they do. After you get drunk and fall into a chocolate coma.... oh ,and BTW, walking around naked is over rated. Also, try turning off all things that hum or make noise in your house for a while... then read something... it's pretty awesome. My favorite thing to do is to deep clean the entire house right after they leave, that way it's clean just for you the whole time they are gone. When they return, they will totally trash it like a house of cards.

I'd take a nap. Throw out all the broken toys my kids INSIST they need to keep. Nap. Donate the toys they don't play with anymore but pull out of boxers when I try to donate them when they're home. Nap. Shower and shave my legs. Nap. Eat a hot meal and not share. Nap. Sleep past 5am. ...

The mind boggles! I would spend one of the three days sleeping. Entirely. Maybe get up for potty and food...but maybe not. Holy crap! I cannot even imagine the joy that would bring. Soo jealous!

As a child I was not getting enough attention because since I had 3 brothers and 1 sister. I always wanted to be close to family but they said I was like a spoiled child.
