Out of the mouths of babes 28

I dropped Child 2 off at camp this morning and as he's climbing onto the bus I say "Bye! Have a good day!" and he replies "Bye! Call me if you need me!"

He's 6; he doesn't have a phone. He just said that to make me laugh.

It worked.

I love kids.....they are so funny! My 5 yo daughter, Sarah, got out of the shower one night and Hubs said you didn't wash your face did you and her response was "that is correct!"

That kind of laughter brought on by out of the blue, grown up-like, kid cuteness gets me in trouble. I start promising pink ponies, cars for sweet 16s, etc. I can't help myself.

the other day in the car, my 3 yr old said (after I slammed on the breaks) "Get off your phone, JERK!" To the other person. Not me. I wasn't on my phone. I didn't even yell at him for saying jerk.
