Why I love Lady Gaga (despite the egg-mobile)

It's not because of her music, although it's super fun to sing in Rock Band, it's really not my style, as you may have gathered.

It's not because of her kooky hijinx, even though I have a lot of fun making fun of her, for the most part I think it's stupid and unnecessarily over the top.

No, it's because of what she said in an acceptance speech the other night. She got an award for something or other, and in her speech she said "I wanted to thank Whitney (Houston) because when I wrote 'Born This Way,' I imagined she was singing it because I wasn't secure enough in myself to imagine I was a superstar."

How cool is that? She is arguably the most famous woman in the world right now, and (like it or not) a role model to millions, and to get up in front of the world and admit her insecurities like that... well... that's just really, really classy, in my opinion. It almost makes me wish I was raising girls (yeah, well, let's not go nuts).

And, so, that's why I love Lady Gaga.

You can have my girls for like two hours--I'll bet you'll be grabbing the birth control and zanax just cause they're so girly, which is weird cause I'm so, not.

Ummmm...okay...when you DO have girls, Lady Gaga is a nightmare, thanks so much. I am thankful that the oldest knows better and that the youngest is retarded.

Maybe she only said that because she knew you were watching and paying attention and she wanted your approval because she knows that I'm a fan of stuff like that and she figured if YOU liked her because of what she said, I might like her too........Tough Luck Ga! Still not buying your crap!

I liked Lady Gaga before, but I LOVED her after I heard her perform an acoustic solo version of Paparazzi that was out of this world. She has a helluva set of pipes. You're right though, this was a classy move.

I have to say the chick generally annoys me. I really hate her look. And her music is mostly well.. annoying. THe message of her new song (is it called Born This Way?) is a positive one however, and perhaps will help with some of the bullying that is going on in schools. I know that is simplistic, but she is so popular, I think kids will listen to her message. God I hate giving her credit, because I just cannot stand her! Blech!

I don't know much about her, other than her stupid hijinks. I did catch her performance on the Grammy's and was surprised by how talented she is. But she just comes across as such a needy attention whore. That part of her I don't like!

That is an awesome reason to love her.

I think she is a kook, and I sorta like kooks. But I also think she has a KICK ASS voice, and I REALLY like kick ass voices.
