A short compilation post

Yesterday I was in Child 2's classroom. His teacher was talking about the world map and the directions and such. I couldn't see the board she was pointing to, and this is what I heard:

Teacher: Who can tell me what part of the world this is called?
Child who isn't mine: Is it East America?
Teacher: Good guess! But, no, that's called Europe.

Earlier I screamed at my kids "IF YOU BOTH DON'T GET INTO YOUR BEDS RIGHT THIS MINUTE, NOBODY IS PLAYING WII ALL WEEKEND."

And Child 1 responds: "Good one, Mama."

And this happened on Monday this week:

I feel like I owe a lot of people drawings, I just can't remember who I owe them to and what I'm supposed to be drawing. Do I owe you one? Please remind me. I'm sorry that I've forgotten, I have a shitty, shitty memory and the fact that I've forgotten has absolutely nothing to do with how much I adore you. Pinky swears!

This morning child 4 couldn't find her other shoe. I tried to convince her to just wear one and hop. She wouldn't go for it.

I can't find a "Snarky Austim Parents" list on twitter. I'm probably going to start one once I have a bigger backlog of blogs to sift through.

Someone was critical of the size of my p-value this morning and it hurt.

That is so NOT a "good guess"!

Does this mean that even if you didn't owe me a picture, I can pretend you did in hopes of messing with your memory? Would that have worked better if I hadn't mentioned that? How about if that picture vaguely resembled a blog button? Technology scares me!

I wanna know how you do your drawings. Cuz I thought about drawing something in Paint last weekend and couldn't even figure out how to move a text box. I don't know if you even can!

I usually start in Paint and then move to Photoshop because I don't know either program well enough to do the whole thing in just one.

Anyway....

I said "A 1st grader" not "The 1st grader" See? Different. :)

OMG I snorted at the first one. My SIL is a teacher and she pointed to a state on a map and asked what state it was. A child responded, "North Montana?"

Love your hero! No one calls you a "good morning" and gets away with it! And, I'm glad to hear Child 1 still calls you mama - I need that.
